My Collections

To create a new my collections list:

1. Enter a name for the list in the List text box.
2. Click the Create button:

   

   The new list is added to the My Collections page:

   

The new list is added to the Your current list drop list on the browse and search pages and can be selected when adding objects to a list:

To rename a My Collections list:

1. Select the radio button beside a list name.
2. Make sure that Rename is selected in that list's Modify drop list.
3. Click the Go button for the list.

   The list name displays in an editable text box.

4. Edit the name and click Save:

To remove a My Collections list:

1. Select the radio button beside a list name.
2. Select Remove from that list's Modify drop list.
3. Click the Go button.

   The list is removed.

To publish a list:

1. Select the radio button for the list to be published.
2. Select an option from the Publish drop list (see the table below for details).
3. Click Go:

   

   What happens next depends on the Publish option selected:

Note: Due to the extensible design of IMu Tours, new publishing formats (for different digital media players) can be added.

Publish a tour

When Go is clicked on the My Collections page, a page displays with:

• A list of all objects in the list that will be exported to the digital media player.

  Note: Only objects with the necessary multimedia attachments configured for a tour will be included in the list. If an object does not have the required tour multimedia attachments, it will be dropped from the tour.

• Step by step instructions on importing the tour to a digital media player:

1. Connect your iPod to the PC and start iTunes.

   Position the iTunes window and the browser so that both are visible on screen.

2. Drag the Podcast link on the browser page to the iTunes window and drop it there:

   

3. Expand the podcast playlist by clicking the arrow beside the Podcast name (My Collection in this example):

   

4. Select Get All:

   

   iTunes retrieves all of the required files.

5. Select File>New Playlist from selection from the Menu bar.

   The podcast is added to the list of Playlists and automatically added to your iPod. You're ready to commence your personalised guided tour of the collection.

   Note: Tips: Be sure that Shuffle is turned off when playing the tour podcast.
